Chamber Pressure is one of the most important variables in the game. It is expressed in PSI (Pounds per square inch) and can have serious consequences on the core and its operations.
General Description
Pressure is a value displayed on the monitors around the facility and is located near the bottom of the middle monitor inside the control room. It increases and decreases accordingly in response to several factors. Ideally, one must attempt to keep it in a safe range to avoid negative consequences, otherwise one may rapidly lose control of it.
Pressure Color
The displayed value of the chamber pressure can change color depending on it's value. This color is very important as it states what effects are being applied to the core and related equipment due to of the chamber pressure's current value. The colors are as follows (sorted by range values) :
- Blue (<=2_200 PSI) : A stall effect is applyed to CBLs, meaning the CBL output is drastically reduced and the temperature flux instantly drops far into the negatives.
- White (2_200-11_500 PSI) : No effects.
- Yellow (11_500-27_000 PSI) : Temp flux is increased and the H.D.E.F decays faster. Entering this range triggers the High Chamber Pressure alarm.
- Red (>=27_000) : Temp flux increases further and H.D.E.F decays even faster. Additionally, CBLs will now see even their minimal power output level increase their stress and pressure. The same applies to the P.E.A, its minimal extraction level will now increase its stress.
