Chamber Pressure is one of the most important variable of the game. It is expressed in PSI and can have serious consequences on the core.
General Description
Pressure is a value displayed on the monitors around the facility and is located near the bottom of the middle monitor inside the control room. It can increase or deacrease, and changes according to several factors. Usually, you try to keep it in a safe range to avoid negative consequences. You can rapidly lose control of it.
Pressure Color
The displayed value of the chamber pressure can change color depending on it's value. This color is very important has it states what effects are being applyed to the core and equipements because of the chamber pressure current value. The colors are (sorted by range values) :
- Blue (<=2_200 PSI) : A stalling effect is applyed to the core.
- White (2_200-11_500 PSI) : No effects.
- Yellow (11_500-27_000 PSI) : Temp flux is increased and H.D.E.F shield decays faster. You can also hear an alarm that keeps biping while chamber pressure is in this range or above.
- Red (>=27_000) : Temp flux is increased even more and H.D.E.F shield decays even faster. Additionally, CBLs will now see their minimal power output level increase their stress and pressure. Same for P.E.A, its minimal extraction level will now increase its stress.
